Celebrating Pentecost

What a lovely day we had celebrating Pentecost!

On Tuesday 6th June the school celebrated Pentecost, a festival to remember when the Holy Spirit descended as tongues of fire upon the heads of the disciples. This celebration occurs on the Sunday 50 days after Easter. As part of our celebrations we had a whole school assembly where the children sung a beautiful hymn and our younger children came dressed as flames to represent the ones the holy spirit would have originally come to earth in. In the afternoon, all classes had a Pentecost party in the school hall which was throughly enjoyed by all!
