Year 5 Visit to Lyon Square

Pheew! What a busy day Year 5 have had in Lyon Square! Find out what we got up to on our visit here!

As part of our Science topic, 'Materials and their Properties', Year 5 visited a local building project in Harrow (Lyon Square) on Tuesday 3rd July. During the visit, the children were given an in depth talk with the Site Manager who introduced them to an array of materials that have been used in the building project.

Learning about construction materials!

The children also had the opportunity to plant some bee friendly plants in the communal gardens, explore one of the newly built apartments and take a trip up high in the sky in a hoist! Our visit was then completed with some juice and biscuits in the show room and all children were given a goodie bag and a book to take home!

Getting green fingered!
Eagerly waiting to open our goody bags!
